FARMCONNECT LAUNCHES SOYLINK

Offers Farmer Members an Opportunity to Participate in
Growing Soy Foods Market

CROOKSTON, MN, January 11, 2002 — FarmConnect, a farmer-owned market voice, will be presenting an investment opportunity for its members to enter the rapidly growing soy food ingredient market. The new FarmConnect Company, SoyLink, will be a joint venture with Soy Driven Enterprises, a leading partner to farmers in value-added agriculture.

SoyLink will be a processor of food grade soybeans supplying innovative ingredients to global food companies. SoyLink is currently acquiring a processing facility in the final stages of construction that uses state-of-the-art food processing technology. FarmConnect has initiated market development efforts in a number of soy food sectors and is optimistic about offering its farmers an opportunity to participate in this growing market.

"SoyLink offers a unique opportunity to fulfill the FarmConnect mission of profitably bringing farmers and consumers together", stated Art Brandli, farmer and FarmConnect's Chairman of the Board of Directors. "The soy food category is one of the most exciting opportunities in the global food industry. U.S. sales are over $3 billion and growing at about 20% per year due to the increasingly well-documented healthy benefits of soy-based foods", added Don Senechal, Principal of The Hale Group, Ltd., the leading strategic management consulting firm specializing in the food and agribusiness industries.

In an effort to give Minnesota farmers the first opportunity to realize this value-added project, FarmConnect will hold a series of investor meetings in February 2002, beginning the week of February 4th. For more information about the dates and locations of the investor meetings, visit the FarmConnect website at www.farmconnect.com or call 1-888-654-5077.
